A central hub of innovation, determined to change the future of the food industry
Since its establishment in 1983, Lotte R&D Center has been committed to research & development of Lotte’s food subsidiaries, in addition to serving as sanitation inspector for Korea’s retail and tourism sector as KOLAS (Korea Laboratory Accreditation Scheme) accredited institution.
Based on our priority on quality, we are employing more than 1,500 high-tech equipments and over 200 researchers to lead high-standard product innovation, while our safety center meticulously tests all of Lotte’s processed food to guarantee utmost safety.
We played a pivotal role in the strategic nurturing of Lotte’s leading brands in the likes of Xylitol, Dream Cacao, and 2%. Our lab chief was awarded with the Tin Tower Order of Industrial Service Merit in 2009, in recognition of our dedicated efforts and fruitful results. In 2009, we established the China R&D Center as part of the efforts for cementing our name as Asia’s topmost food research center. We will continue to expand our research into future food, genetic engineering, bio-engineering, and food consumption patterns to rise as the frontrunner of general food research.
